This is the official pre-party or as Germans like to say, ‘the warm up party for the ‘Torture Garden Berlin Christmas Ball’.

Inspired by the 1997, somewhat ‘tongue in cheek’ movie Preaching to the Perverted, portraying the British Establishment’s often obsessive relationship with UK’s fetish scene which was then still very much forced underground & maintained a forbidden entity.

The party provides a soundtrack to this era while celebrating & embracing the development of the fetish scene from its origins in underground dive bars into what it has become today, a truly international community.
Besides offering the opportunity for nostalgic reflection, the party also offers those that are inclined, to engage in perverted acts while exploring Insomnia’s varying play spaces.
A fetish party isn’t a fetish party without performances & we have legendary The Baron of the Universe & Dunja von K.
Both performers will astound you by demonstrating great skill with physical feats which defy the limits of the human body.

Besides Shibari performances by Superfly 1.3% & an opportunity to experience a vacuum bed in the basement, we will have appropriate themed visuals. The themes depicted in the movie Preaching to the Perverted were LUST, LAW & LATEX…

While lustful antics are enthusiastically encouraged & expected, play activities must be fully consensual. Fetish party goers must be fully aware of the etiquette & respectfully follow it.

In the 1990s it was the intrusive elements of the ‘establishment’ & their appointed agents. Today, it is complying with COVID-19 restrictions & the associated legal regulations in place in Berlin at the time of the event not at the time of the ticket purchase is what we need to abide by.Admission currently to night clubs in Berlin is following the 2G rule (Fully vaccinated & recovered). If you purchase a ticket you are agreeing to comply with the restricts enforced on us to host the event. There will not be refunds associated to people not complying with COVID-19 restrictions. There is also a COVID-19 track & trace app which is being used by all night clubs in Berlin called LUCA which should be downloaded to phones.

Of course, latex is the uniform fabric for fetish events but not everyone can or wants to wear latex. A good fetish party will have an obligatory dress code but it is designed to reflect & accommodate countless fetish interests & practices & outfits should reflect your personality & imagination.

With this in mind it is easier to say what doesn’t meet a fetish party dress code: cotton shirts or trousers, jeans, gym kit, lycra, cheap fancy dress, combat items (full military or uniforms are fine) suits including dinner suits unless they contain clearly defined fetish element incorporated into them, no men in pants wearing their work shoes.

Being nude can be fetish but men just taking your shirt off doesn’t count.
